A youngster coping with Trauma

0

As parents, all you want to do is protect your children from traumatic experiences. Society as a whole should take on a collective responsibility to make sure that kids remain kids as long as possible; in order for them to retain their innocence. However, life doesn’t always work out the way we want it to and kids become exposed to experiences that will scar them for life. This is the case for this young lady and her family. Her aunt was at the wrong place at the wrong time when a shooting took place in 2017. She became collateral damage and died. It has affected our interviewee and her entire family. She tells us about the incident and the trauma she carries because of it.
